- the AI Maturity Assessment tool; and
- downloads or use of the 10-Dan Framework.
We have designed the assessment tool to minimise the collection of personal data.
3. Information We Process
The AI Maturity Assessment is designed to operate without collecting directly identifiable personal data such as names, email addresses, or organisation names.
To operate the assessment, we may process:
- responses submitted through the assessment tool;
- generated assessment outputs, such as maturity results or scoring;
- limited technical information necessary for security and operation, such as browser or device type; and
- a cryptographic hash derived from the submitting IP address for security and integrity purposes.
We do not use this information to identify individual users.
4. How We Use Information
We use this information to:
- generate automated assessment results;
- maintain the security and integrity of the tool;
- prevent misuse or abuse; and
- monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the service.
We do not publish individual submissions.
5. Lawful Basis
Where we process limited technical or pseudonymous personal data, our lawful basis is Legitimate Interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR.
Our legitimate interests are:
- maintaining system security and integrity;
- preventing misuse of the assessment tool; and
- improving the reliability and governance value of the service.
We consider this processing proportionate because:
- the data collected is limited;
- we do not request direct identifiers such as names or email addresses in the assessment tool; and
- we do not use the information to identify users.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to maintain security, operational integrity, and the functioning of the assessment tool.
7. Cookies
Our website may use essential cookies required for functionality and security.
We do not use non-essential cookies or tracking technologies within the AI Maturity Assessment tool.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing purposes.
We may use trusted third-party service providers, such as hosting or infrastructure providers, who process information on our behalf and under appropriate contractual and security controls.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including:
- secure hosting;
- access controls and restricted administrative access;
- hashing or pseudonymisation of certain technical identifiers where appropriate; and
- routine software and security updates.
10. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, individuals may have rights including the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or to object to certain processing.
However, the assessment tool is designed to minimise identifiable data collection and we may be unable to identify a particular user or retrieve a specific assessment submission. Where that is the case, our ability to respond to a rights request may be limited.
